OSCARS-funded project RISKY | WEBINAR: Data Sharing as a Win-Win for Wildlife and Infrastructure
Calendar Event date
12 May 2026
On 12 May 2026, starting at 15:00 CEST, the OSCARS-funded project RISKY, in partnership with Renewables Grid Initiative, is organising the webinar "Data Sharing as a Win-Win for Wildlife and Infrastructure"
The event webinar will explore how sharing wildlife mortality data can help answer this challenge.
By turning isolated mortality records into shared knowledge, data sharing can become a powerful tool to:
- Support more effective conservation measures
- Reduce financial and reputational risks
- Improve infrastructure planning and mitigation
- Strengthen transparency and public acceptance
The session will bring together experts from grid operators, scientists, NGOs and public authorities, who will share practical experiences and discuss how wildlife mortality data can be shared safely and effectively.
Join the RISKY project team and this invitation with relevant colleagues and networks.
About RISKY
RISKY is an international initiative developing a digital platform to compile, harmonise and share wildlife mortality data from roads, railways, power lines and wind farms. The project is also creating practical tools to support biodiversity-friendly infrastructure, including mortality maps and risk prediction models. Together, these tools help reduce wildlife mortality and support more nature-positive energy and transport infrastructure worldwide.
